Enid Stassyns (zij/haar) studeerde recentelijk af aan KASK&Conservatorium School Of Arts te Gent met haar Master in Grafisch Ontwerp. Met een sterke focus op humor en het speelse onderzoekt ze haar rol als grafisch vormgever door het deconstrueren, analyseren, nabootsen en overnemen van de wereld van cartoons en strips met diens schreeuwerige typografieën en expressieve vormentalen. Deze functioneren als bronmateriaal waarmee ze haar eigen humoristische taferelen, stripverhalen, klungelige animatiefilmpjes, geluidsopnames of lettertypes creëert.
Met Spijt en Vrees, haar zelf-gepubliceerde zine-reeks, exploreert ze niet-digitale manieren om haar eigen werk, inspiratiebronnen en ideeën te verspreiden. Daarbij zet ze ook haar eerste stapjes in het kapitalistische vaarwater door te werken met abonnementen, veelbelovende nieuwsbrieven en kleurrijke advertenties.

Enid Stassyns (she/her) is based in Ghent and recently graduated at KASK&Conservatorium School Of Arts with her Master in Graphic Design. With a strong focus on humor and playfulness, she navigates her role as a graphic designer through deconstructing, analyzing, mimicking and copying the world of cartoons and comics with their expressive shapes, screamy typography and other visual characteristics. These later function as source material in order to create her own humoristic scenes, bootlegged comics, clumsy animation videos, dynamic fonts, soundscapes and so on.
With Spijt en Vrees, her self-published zine series, she also explores ancient ways of distributing her own work, inspiration sources and new ideas while tip-toeing through the capitalistic waters by working with subscriptions, newsletters and full-page advertisements.
